The Buena Vista County Auditor’s Office is looking for interested individuals to work at polling places on Election Day! Are you friendly, dependable, civic-minded, and detail-oriented? Apply to be a precinct election worker! No experience is necessary and training is provided.
Election board members must be registered voters of Buena Vista, their attendance must be dependable and they must get along well with others. Duties are shared among three to eight officials depending on the number of expected voters at the polling place for a particular election.
Election Days begin at 6:00 a.m. and end around 9:00 p.m. The work is rewarding, time spent standing is minimal, and workers must remain at the polls all day. Precinct election officials are currently paid $14.00 per hour plus mileage if applicable.
